A concept that unfolded little by little as I tried to rekindle my inner surrealist. I like for audiences to interpret pieces like this, though maybe it's no secret that birth something of a theme here (note the little birds). Anyway, this is jam-packed with the old me and a delicious amount of symbolism, I hope you enjoy! (also correct me if my Spanish is poor -- I don't like giving my own ideas English titles but it has been years since I've spoken the Spanish language....) Done in black pen, anxiety, and 11"x14" drawing paper. Total time spent just on the execution of the drawing: ~1.5 hours
I really like the moon... I mean honestly I love so much about this.. but the moon jumps out at me for some reason. Also very impressive that you did this in 90 minutes, in fact I might be a little jealous of your talent
I always start with some sort of eyesore (in this case that snake thing next to the moon) before I draw the moon, which is just my favorite part of doing these type of surreal doodles. I have a lot more of these with similar subject matter/different situations, but they're pretty old and the "eyesores" (as I tend call them...) are a lot more distracting, lol The flower thing by the sun is also an eyesore/mistake.:U Thankyou so much, though! I think that, if anything, the secret is just drawing what you love.C:
