A Change is Gonna Come

This one is, interestingly enough, a lot prettier in person. I based it off of an actual tree that changes colors in the graveyard across the street~
Ultimately, I ended up reflecting on a fact I heard recently regarding trees and their leaves (I believe WilliamDallwitz was one of the folks to mention it to me). With our limited sight capabilities, we never really see the full tree -- we see parts of it. And even so, our mind fills in what we don't necessarily see in the first place ...
I suppose there's a metaphor in there somewhere. I heard something similar regarding how our eyes are actually designed to see the world upside-down, but because light filters through a certain way, it puts everything in a way that's understandable to us. Allegedly experiments have been done where people wear goggles that turn their vision upside down again, and after a short time (plus a lot of head-aching), the mind is able to flip everything back to "normal".

So essentially, one could say this piece is a loose commentary on perspective and what we think we see.
Or we could call it a reflection of life... of autumn, the ending of summer, etc.
Or how about a tribute to orange?...

Or perhaps just the painting of a tree.
