Weaver by Mivala Weaver by Mivala
Again, quality butchered by bad lighting and camera...

You can actually find this picture on Nat. Geo's website, I might link to it in a sec. -- , yep, based on a photo by Robb Kendrick. [link]

2 hours straight of drawing and singing Lebanese/Turkish music (but because I don't know the language(s) at all....failed a little, I guess)...
Last night I as horrified to find that I didn't know how to draw anymore. I was really unhappy when I got around to NOT uploading anything, lol SO. I challenged myself today. Never really tried messing with wrinkles and this woman seemed to be the perfect place to start.

Graphite on 11"x14" paper. I REALLY wish my camera caught more detail here....urghhhh

"r attire includes a head scarf for 80-year-old María Roselia Cobes Huelinachi, who weaves and sells baskets near the Copper Canyon overlook in El Divisadero—for now. A controversial development plan that aims to attract more tourists would relegate Tarahumara craft vendors to an artificial village."

Y-yes, that is indeed a...er, wrinkly woman...

(Guess it's better than the scar tissue I originally thought it to be...)

From me? Or other people? I can remedy the situation if it's the former...
